What is Bunkhouse Plus?
Midway between traditional bunk house accommodation and a B&B. Ideally suited to those who want to pay bunkhouse prices but don’t mind paying a little extra for a bit more comfort.
Best for groups of walkers, mountain bikers, climbers or any that wish to get the most out of the outdoors on a budget.
At the Dol Peris, we have a ground floor two room suite with its own en suite bathroom which can take up to seven people (4 in one room, 3 in the other).
Larger groups can also be catered for by utilising other rooms ranging from 2-5 in size upto a maximum group size of 19.
So what’s different?
With a standard bunk house, you get somewhere to sleep and that’s about it. Often you have to share the room and washing facilities and have no real place to relax. With bunkhouse plus you get the following:
- Complimentary starter set comprising tea and coffee, shower gel and soap.
- En suite facilities comprising private shower/bath, toilet and wash basin.
- Television and tea/coffee making facilities.
- Access to a cosy lounge where you can relax, read a book, watch TV or put on a DVD. We have a selection of DVDs.
- A bottom sheet and a pillow on your bed.
- Access to a drying room, boot room and secure storage for mountain bikes.
What will I need to bring?
You need to bring your own towels and your own sleeping bag (or duvet). If you are bringing bikes, we advise you bring your own bike lock for extra security.
What don’t I get?
You don’t get breakfast but this leaves you free to make your own arrangements with cafes within a short walking distance of the guest house.
Can I order a breakfast or extra bedding?
No, to keep costs down for everyone we keep to a simple formula of accommodation only.
